Course Format: This course consists of Lecture Slides, 2 Lectures, and 1 Quiz. Once you have completed the Lecture and Quiz, you will be able to print your Certificate of Completion.

Course Objectives:  After this course, you will be able to:

• Understand radiation dose and biological effects of radiation
• Recognize opportunities to maintain your occupational doses using ALARA
• Identify occupational dose limits and applicable NRC regulations
• Understand how to safely use radioactive materials
• Properly perform contamination surveys and package receipt

Grading:  Quizzes are graded automatically immediately after submission.  You will be given 3 attempts to successfully pass the quiz. A passing score is 75%.

Course Description: Our online Ancillary Fluoroscopy Safety course is designed to meet radiation safety education requirements for radiation workers and give fluoroscopy professionals additional knowledge to keep themselves and their patients safe.  In this online ancillary fluoroscopy safety course, we give you the didactic information required by regulatory and accrediting bodies. Topics include:

• Identifying ways to protect yourself
• Implementing the ALARA philosophy in your clinical setting
• Using time, distance, and shielding for safety
• Recognizing typical dose rates encountered

Upon completion of the online Ancillary Fluoroscopy Safety Training course, students will be able to print a Certificate of Completion.
